Step 1: Set Gmail as your default email in your lenovo settings by clicking into your “settings” from the taskbar. Click “apps” from the settings window -------------------------------------> From the apps menu, click on “Default Apps” and then change the default Email app to Chrome Scroll down and also make sure your browser is set to Chrome and not Edge. ----------------------------------------> |

Step 2: Open Chrome, and make sure you are signed in with your WA credentials. You can check this by clicking the picture or avatar showing in the upper right hand corner of the browser next to the 3 vertical dots. If you are not signed in, sign into Chrome. |

Step 3: Make sure you are running the most up to date version of Chrome. If you are not, it will say “update” in the upper right hand corner of the browser. |

Step 4: Open a tab in Chrome, and paste in this URL: chrome://settings/handlers Check to see if mail.google.com is set as your default email. If it is, it will look like the picture here. If it’s there but doesn’t say “default” under it, click the 3 dots next to it and set it to “default.” Refresh and try Veracross now, and emailing should open through Gmail.
If yours says not allowed to handle protocols, go to Step 5. |

Step 5: Click the X next to mail.google.com and remove it. -----------------------> Then, go to your gmail inbox tab, and refresh it. Once you do that, click the diamond that appears in the URL box and allow it. ----------------------------------------> Then, go back to the chrome://settings/handlers and see if it approved mail.google.com to be your email and is set to default. |

Step 1: In your app / launchpad, click Mac’s default email app - “Mail.” ----------> At the top left of your computer toolbar, click “Mail” next to the apple symbol and then preferences and bring up the settings /preferences tab, and change the first box “ default email reader” to Chrome --------------------------------------->. |
